On December 10th, Paul Krause was honored as Firefighter of the Year at the December Farmington Town Council Meeting. Firefighter Krause was presented with a Proclamation from the Farmington Town Council and an official Citation from the State of Connecticut General Assembly. Many members of Farmington’s three Volunteer Fire Departments were in attendance and offered congratulations to Firefighter Krause for his achievement.
Farmington Town Council Chair Joe Capodiferro presented Firefighter Krause with the following Proclamation:
PROCLAIMATION
WHEREAS, Paul Krause has served the Town of Farmington as a volunteer Firefighter for over 19 years at the Tunxis Hose Fire Company No. 1 joining in June of 2005, and
WHEREAS, Paul Krause, during his 19 years with Tunxis Hose Fire Company No. 1 has exhibited remarkable dedication and commitment by taking on several leadership positions including the role of Deputy Chief in charge of training over the last 6 years, and
WHEREAS, Paul Krause’s contributions to Tunxis Hose are significant, having been named top responder multiple times and recognized with meritorious service awards for life-saving CPR interventions, and
WHEREAS, when not volunteering his time as a Firefighter in Farmington, Paul Krause serves as a full-time Firefighter/EMT at Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut and continues his nobel commitment to the Nation’s armed forces as Chairman of the Veterans Memorial Committee in the Town of Farmington, and
WHEREAS, Paul Krause has maintained a focus on the public good and acted to protect the public interest while donating countless hours of time, energy and personal commitment to better our community and enrich the lives of the residents of the Town of Farmington.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Farmington Town Council hereby commends Paul Krause for his excellent work on behalf of the community and we congratulate him on his 2024 Firefighter of the Year Award. The Farmington Town Council hereby proclaims December 10, 2024, as Paul Krause Day in Farmington, Connecticut.

Representative Mike Demicco presented a Citation from the State of Connecticut General Assembly, introduced by Rep. Demicco, Rep. Cooley, Senator Slap and Senator Lopes to Paul Krause. Rep. Demicco congratulated Firefighter Krause and thanked him for all that he does.
