4.5.16 - Tunxis Hose Company No. 1 32nd Annual Golf Classic is just two months away! Time to mark your calender's and get out to the range. Information has been posted to the event page HERE. Players can sign up on our event page, by filling out one of our registration cards found at local business, or past players can fill out the registration card which will be mailed to them soon. 1.4.16 - Congratulations to all of this years Annual Awards Ceremony recipients. Each year Tunxis Hose Company No. 1 hosts an award ceremony during the annual holiday party. 1.4.16 - Congratulations to FF/EMT Ryan Pulver on his graduation from Connecticut Fire Academy Recruit Class 56. Class 56 graduated the CFA on December 11th, 2015. The Recruit Firefighter program is an intensive, 14 week resident course that focuses on developing the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the newly hired career firefighter. Ryan is the first member in the history of Tunxis Hose Company No. 1 to put himself through such a program.
1.1.16 - Happy New Year! The Officers and Members of Tunxis Hose Company No. 1 would like to wish everyone the best in 2016 and thank all of our business and community supporters for a wonderful year. We look forward to seeing everyone at all of our 2016 events.
We Have Broken Ground!
Construction has officially begun on the Town of Farmington & Avon Vol. Fire Department Training Facility! The Town of Avon Public Works have begun removing the topsoil from the site and laying down stone. The water main materials have also arrived and Connecticut Water ill begin the installation shortly. A big thanks to Connecticut Water for donating all the materials and labor for the installation of the water main! If all goes smooth the firefighters from the Town of Farmington and Avon should be training at the new facility by the end of summer.
